Vegetarian and Vegan Diets

For those of you who are curious about vegetarianism or vegan diets, we hope the following resources will be helpful to you. Both a vegan diet and a vegetarian diet are very healthy ways to eat. Careful planning should go into each meal to make sure you get the proper nutrients.  Those of you who are already vegetarian, will also find many of the resources listed here helpful, and for those who are considering becoming vegetarian, or vegan, we hope we can help you make that decision easier.  

A growing number of people are choosing to live a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. The reasons for becoming vegetarian or vegan are numerous. What many people are not aware of, is that choosing not to eat meat or use animal products has as much to do with the environment as it does to a healthy diet.

Lately I've had the wisdom-tooth blues, so I've been eating a lot of soft, easy to chew foods.  Soups are my favorite foods to go to because they can really run the gamut depending on what you're looking for in the moment.  Soups can be hearty or brothy, packed with lots of goodies or simple and easy to put together.  Best of all, they're easy to make and don't take a lot of time or effort to put together. Vegan Diets

Veganism is both a philosophy and lifestyle. Vegans exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans do not use or consume animal products of any kind. There are many reasons for becoming a vegan some of which include health concerns, ethical commitment or moral conviction concerning animal rights or welfare, the environment, and spiritual or religious concerns.
